On this note, we sincerely apologize to all residents of the hostels thus far affected by the scarcity of water for a while now. The scarcity is as a result of a malfunction of a pipe which serves as a major channel of water supply to these hostels. However, we have contacted the Department of Works and Services and the pipe should be fixed before the end of today, Sunday, 26th June, 2016. We therefore appeal to all affected students to be patient with us as we are working hard to ensure things return to normal.

SECURITY NAB SOME STUDENTS FOR PIRACY

Late last week, some students were apprehended by the University's security team for the sales of pirated copies of the Natural science workbook at a cheaper price. The security team was seen in the Faculty theatre of social sciences searching and ransacking students for those in possession of the fake workbook and also trying to get information on where and who it was purchased from. As of now, Co-coordinators and Lecturers in charge of Natural Science are now asking for the receipt during submission as a proof that it was actually bought from the school's bookshop.

ICPC LAUNCHES IN UNN

Independent Corrupt Practices and other Commission (ICPC), is inaugurating an Anti-Corruption Forum in UNN, our great citadel of learning which has been chosen to represent the South .Two other universities across the federation are doing the same.
This forum is supposed to monitor, report and help in the investigation of cases of corrupt practices, fraud, embezzlement and mismanagement of funds, mismanagement of offices, unconstitutional use of political powers, etc. within the university community.
