TAFSSA FIRST YEAR INDUCTION 2017

Chukwu Imoh Emmanuella
Reporting from TFS

One department stands out in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. This department has thus far continued to churn out stars and celebrities year in year out, each representing the Den of Lions in various spheres of the entertainment industry.
Our first year induction was not just marvelous but breathtaking as freshmen displayed talents very rare of their peers.
We have various talents like men and women skilled in costumes, handling of the local musical instruments, acting, rapping, fashion designing, etc., and with Mc Dave on the stage, coordinating these talents isn't a big deal.

Too much to say about the Department of

ANOTHER FIRE OUTBREAK IN UNN!!!

OFFICE OF THE INFORMATION OFFICER
STUDENTS' UNION GOVERNMENT
UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA, NSUKKA

ANOTHER FIRE OUTBREAK IN UNN!!!

Students of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka campus were taken aback in the early hours of Saturday, 21st January, 2017 with the news of a fire outbreak which burnt to the ground the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Faculty of the Pharmaceutical Sciences. The fire was said to have started in the early hours of Saturday and burnt down the whole building.
Efforts at putting out the fire by well meaning students proved abortive.
The degree of damages is yet to be ascertained at the time of this report but the building contacins everything the Department is made up of which includes files and documents of both students and staff, laboratory equipments and administrative equipments, etc.
While we sympathize with the department as well as the faculty, we wish to call on the university community as a whole to be security conscious, especially as regards the use of the facilities available to us.

HAPPY MATRICULATION FRESHERS

It is with great joy in our hearts that we welcome all freshmen OFFICIALLY today to the Den. This is a journey that began some months or a few years ago. Like the Lions and Lionesses you have been, you fought through thicks and thin, studied hard and as well, prayed hard.
You travelled miles and kilometers from your places of residence to prove your worth to the Den of Lions. Consequently, you were considered worthy in character and in learning to be part of those whom the Den should train in character and in learning.
Others fell by the way side, but here you are, victorious like the cub of the great king of the jungle. For this, we at the Students' Union Government, University of Nigeria, Nsukka say a big

WELCOME!!!
While we celebrate your entrance this day, it is important we also let you know that your exit from the Den is near. The mode of exit lies strictly in your hands. You can decide to make it glorious or pathetic. You can decide to leave like a Lion King or be thrown out of the Den like a wounded Lion. The choice is yours and it begins officially, today.
Make good of your stay in the Den and in the end, the whole university community will rise to celebrate your glorious exit from this side of the Den of Lions. It is our wish that you come out the best in character and in learning.
It is our wish that you prayer that you gather optimum experience here in the Den, enough to make you stand tall with your head held up high in the midst of your peers afterwards. Thus, you will make the Union into which you are also officially inducted today proud to have experienced your impact and felt your presence.
May your certificate never read VISITED UNN.
Congratulations once again.
Welcome to the Den of Lions.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO A SUPERLION

Each time the thought of you crosses my mind
The smile that never ceases from your face radiates through mine
I remember the jokes, the funny moments
The battles we fought together
And the victories we won
During your days in the Den

Your commitment to standard and service delivery
The enthusiasm with which you pursue a just cause
Your stand for that which is right
All these make you stand out in the midst of your peers
And the struggle would not have been this sweet without you

Till date I still thank the Lord our paths crossed
But then, how did I forget you are also a twin?
Yea! You once told me
But it probably didn't stick
As my mind was more on the elections ahead
But today I was reminded
That the man for whom I have so much respect and regard
Is a twin like myself

What more can I say
But to wish you the most wonderful birthday
To you *SEPP* and your twin brother *ALTAR*

May the God of all flesh continue to enlarge your coast
And strengthen you in all areas
May He continue to grant you favour before Himself and before men
That your future be far brighter than your present and your past.

Happy Birthday bro!!!

HON. KENNETH IS PLUS ONE TODAY

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HON. TABUGBO KENNETH

The struggle is real and the fight is getting more difficult by the day
Politic consciousness increases by the day as our Union grows in grace and splendor. Many feats are achieved but not without the cooperative efforts of some men of honour and integrity. Men who have proven to be men indeed....
And today we celebrate one of such men.
Hon. Tabugbo Kenneth, Chairman, House Committee on Budget, SUG, UNN (2016/2017). Truthfully, handling such a sensitive position was not an easy task but you brought to bear on it your wisdom and task, harmonizing figures and documents from the various arms and subunits of the Union till it was finally submitted. You have shown clearly that you pride more in efficiency than in nepotism and ethnic affiliations.
Thus far, you have been able to stand out in the midst of your colleagues and future generations of leaders still look up to you as a role model.
As you resume another journey of 365days, may the good Lord who has thus far guarded and guided you continue to lead you beside the still waters. May His eyes continue to go to and fro the surface of the earth, seeking ways to prove Himself strong on your behalf.

Happy Birthday Bro,
