Re: REGISTRATION FOR POST-UTME ADMISSION SCREENING 2016/2017

OFFICE OF THE INFORMATION OFFICER
STUDENTS' UNION GOVERNMENT
UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA, NSUKKA

Re: REGISTRATION FOR POST-UTME ADMISSION SCREENING 2016/2017

It has been some days and weeks offline due to certain issues I have to settle. However, this timeout was interrupted due to the confusion trailing the registration for admission screening by the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
It is important to note before yesterday, 12/07/2016, the University of Nigeria, Nsukka had made no formal announcement for the registration but the announcement came up yesterday and all aspirants have just ONE WEEK to complete their registration. Thus, if you are still in doubt as to whether the University of Nigeria, Nsukka will conduct an admission screening, save yourself the stress and start telling as many as need the information that they have between now and Tuesday, 19th July, 2016 to register and upload their documents for the screening. As regards the issue of allocation of Universities by JAMB, please do well to ignore it all. What UNN needs from you is your 200 or above and your first choice must be UNN. Also, there will be no examination of whatever sort for the admission. According to the University authority, all you need to be screened is your qualification.
Another question begging for answer is that of Awaiting Result. You may still apply with awaiting result if there is an option of that in the application form online. But your documents and results must be complete and ready before your admission clearance.

Finally, due to the shortness of the registration period and the possible queue this will cause at banks, and despite the examination period in the university, I will be willing to help as many as may find it difficult to go process their payments at the banks. I am not sure how long my presence online will last but for further assistance and for any other clarifications, please feel free to call 08023139377. If online, I will respond to your chats as soon as I can but if not, please feel free to call ANY DAY, ANYTIME.

Wishing you success in your academic pursuit.

ON SECURITY!!!
News reaching us has it that there has been a constant battle between cultists and security operatives. This began outside the university and is gradually penetrating the university community as some of these cultists find their way into campus. The Security Department of the University therefore wishes to enjoin all law-abiding students of the University to adhere to the following instructions for security reasons:
Be mindful of how you roam the campus at night including when you go for night classes.
Always have your STUDENT IDENTITY/LIBRARY CARD with you at all times as this remains the only generally acceptable means of identity in the university.
Ensure you are indoors early enough every day.
Avoid dark corners by all means so as to stay away from trouble.
Avoid suspicious off-campus events and meetings
The Security Department will keep to the duty of securing lives and property within the university so you may go about your academic pursuit in peace.
We wish you good success in all your examinations.

Also, there was the induction of new members of the club who were all glowing in their black and white with a touch of red. The night was quite funfilled and various artistes from within and outside the university community thrilled the crowd.

Re: GS Timetables

This is to inform all students of the university especially candidates for examinations in various GS Courses that the official timetable for the examinations has not been released by the School of General Studies.
Our visit to different units in the School of General Studies reveald that none of the units has released any timetable for the examination. Members of staff at the various units reitrated that whenever the timetables for the various GS Courses are ready, it will be pasted at the notice boards in the General Studies Building. Thus, every candidate for the examination is hereby advised to be duly informed that the purported timetable flying around does not have its source from the School of General Studies.
