HAPPY BIRTHDAY OBIANUDO!!!

I met this Nsukka Boy sometime in 2014. Like Daniella would always tell me, in our first year, you never existed. I didn't know him until I was privileged to watch his dribbling skills on the field during one of the FASA Tournaments.
Like play like play, he led TEAM ATSA to victory during the last FASA TOURNAMENT (2015/2016 edition), thereby giving us hope of better days after the feats of Hon. Ugwuoke Charles and his men.
That aside, he remains a silent achiever who despite his leadership qualities is never self-imposing. He does not make much noise, and despite being a reservoir of wisdom and tact, he will always ask you, "what do you think about this". He obviously derives joy in learning, even from his juniors.
Leading ATSA for a whole academic session was not easy, yet you weathered the storm and scaled through. I dare say we know of the many challenges you had in your days as the ATSA President both from staff and students. Yet, you never stopped smiling, neither did you stop being a man of peace.

There is so much to say, so much to pour out but for lack of time and space, and for fear of boring my readers, lemme rest it with this: I BLESS THE DAY WE MET AND THE LORD WHO MADE OUR PATH CROSS.
May the Almighty continue to lead you to greater heights in Jesus name.

Happy Birthday Hon. Eze Kingsley Udoka (Kinky)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AKPAKA THE WANDERER

Today marks the birth of an independent man, a man of visionary leadership. His records stand the test of time. A name that will not be easily forgotten in the history of UNN student politics.
A pharmacist, a superlion with a great passion for his profession. The few times I spent with you sir left a lasting impact in my life, especially politically.
May the Lord who has thus far brought you never leave you till He has fulfilled every promise He made concerning your life.

Happy Birthday Comr.  Akpaka Basil Nchekwube

FINAL OPENING OF THE PORTAL FOR HOSTEL ALLOCATION: WHAT YOU SHOULD UNDERSTAND

OFFICE OF THE INFORMATION OFFICER
STUDENTS' UNION GOVERNMENT
UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA, NSUKKA

FINAL OPENING OF THE PORTAL FOR HOSTEL ALLOCATION: WHAT YOU SHOULD UNDERSTAND

The university has announced that Tuesday, 4th October, 2016 the portal will be opened for the last time for hostel allocation. Find the details here:

http://www.unn.edu.ng/unn-undergraduate-accommodation-information-ii-nsukka-campus/

However, it is important you understand that the above date is the final opening until all rooms are allocated. What this means is that the situation where allocation is paused from time to time will not occur from Tuesday, 10:00am. Thus, it is important you log in to apply for bedspace from the said date. Remember, it is on a first come, first served basis. If it takes a whole week for the available bed spaces to get exhausted ( which I doubt considering the number of students competing for the available spaces), then the portal will remain open till then.

We have not forgotten the outstanding issue with the school fees schedule of l levels for which we requested a stop on payment of school fees. We are however hopeful that this error will be corrected over the weekend and you will be able to pay school fees from next week.
On your part, we request that you crosscheck with your portal from time to time to see if the change has been effected (for those who are yet to pay school fees).
We still request that you report any issue as promptly as possible as we cannot do much without information flowing from your end.

IMPORTANT CLARIFICATIONS

IMPORTANT CLARIFICATIONS

Sequel to our instruction to students to stop payment of school fees, and as a result of our request for receipts of students, we were bombarded with so many receipts we had to stop downloading.
For the sake of clarifications, I wish to inform all that the purpose was just to get enough evidences of our claim to present to the ICT unit of the university. It was not for any purpose of refund to those who have paid as we cannot guarantee that at the moment.
We have submitted our complaints and the ICT director has assured us he would rectify it as soon as possible. When this is done, payment of school fees will continue.
We reiterate that we cannot promise a refund of any sort to those who have thus far paid. If it comes, fine but if not, we sincerely apologize for the loss.

STOP PAYING SCHOOL FEES IMMEDIATELY!!!

OFFICE OF THE INFORMATION OFFICER
STUDENTS' UNION GOVERNMENT
UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA, NSUKKA

URGENT AND VERY IMPORTANT: PLEASE STOP ALL FORMS OF SCHOOL FEES PAYMENT IMMEDIATELY

This is a clarion call to all Lions and Lionesses to put a hold to all forms of school fees payment immediately. Our attention has been drawn to some wrong calculations in the school fees of various students who have thus far paid. From their various calculations, the amount paid is more than what it ought to be with a difference of about N3,000.00 or more as the case may be for which there is no explanation on the school fees receipt. Based on this, we are taking necessary actions to the following effects:

1. Demand that the school fees schedule be uploaded on the university website as soon as possible as is the custom of the university.
2. That all wrong calculations on the school fees be corrected as soon as possible and the real amount updated on the student portals.

While we pursue this course, we plead with all students who are yet to pay school fees to relax and not be in a hurry to do so. However, if you have the mind and will to let go of the extra charges, feel free to go ahead with your payment.
For those who have thus far paid, we sincerely apologize for the error. We were never aware of it, and we cannot promise anything as regards a refund at the moment.
We are poised to serve you better and we are woking hard at it. Please do well to report any issues to us as soon as they are observed.

SABATHA IS A YEAR OLDER

OFFICE OF THE INFORMATION OFFICER
STUDENTS' UNION GOVERNMENT
UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA, NSUKKA

SABATHA IS A YEAR OLDER

He stands as the Secretary General of the Lion Republic. He is friendly and jovial, loved by all, especially the female folks. He stole the show during our joint campaign during the last SUG elections. Each female hostel we entered, he was the only one of all the aspirants whose name rent the air.
In the Union he remains the peace maker, always eager yo maintain the bond of peace even at the the cost of his personal benefits. He is a man of wisdom and many wise sayings. Passionate about the role of the youths in nation building and national development, he is always searching for the best leadership qualities in everyone around him.
Today the Students' Union Government, University of Nigeria, Nsukka (also known as The Lion Republic) celebrates a man whose impact will not be quickly forgotten.
Brother, together we fought and are still fighting for the interest of the students who gave us their mandate.
As you add a year today, we pray the Lord God Almighty from whom all blessings flow will grant you wisdom, knowledge and understanding, and may He continue to increase you physically, financially, academically, politically, socially, and in every other good allys in Jesus name.
Happy Birthday Comr. Ikechukwu Ezeadim Sabatha Meshark.
