Important Information for Prospective UNN Students

First, I wish to congratulate all who have scaled through the hurdles of UTME and are waiting anxiously for UNN Post-UTME. Worthy of note however is the disheartening rate at which people spread rumours about a date or speculations about when post-UTME will hold in UNN. This is more worrisome because prospects of the citadel tend to fall prey to a lot of lies and some crooks who claim to have someone somewhere to help them gain admission and all such things.
Dear prospects, I wish to inform you that there is a new dawn in UNN. We have an Information Officer (Comr. Maximus Anyanwu)who understands his duty to the students and prospects of the university and is willing, ready and working hard to keep you informed. If there be any news on happenings in and around the university, you sure will be the first to hear it.
Some days back, www.unn.edu.ng beamed with a warning to prospects not to get duped by anyone asking for any kind of payment anywhere for admission or post-UTME; Rymzo echoed this warning, and here we are shouting it loud and clear:

Nebo to be Inaugurated Vice President, SUG, UNN?

Could this be true? Will SUG, UNN finally have a Vice President for the 2014/2015 Academic Session? Well, while we all wait for answer to those questions, stories making rounds on campus have it that Chinaza Joy Nebo is to be inaugurated Vice President, SUG, UNN on Friday, May 22nd, 2015.
View it from any perspective, the Union has long awaited a Vice President as every other official in the Executive Arm of the Union is of the male folk.
You will recall that the post of the Vice President has been controversial since the announcement of the election results of the Student Union Government General Elections.
Probably, the whole controversy is about to be laid to rest. Let's wait and see.

Are Your Friends An Elevator or a Cage? By Chinanza Joy Nebo (Zara)

Let's explore the role of the people in your life. Are they elevating you to be the best person you can be, or are they holding you back.
When going through major life shifts, like changing careers, I would shift the people with whom I spent the most time. We've all gone through periods where the people in our lives have changed —
graduation, moving to a new city, getting a new job, joining a new club, etc. I don't think I need to
convince you just how much influence other people can have over your identity. If you've ever
experienced a major shift in your people environment, then you know that you change as well. Most people don't make these choices consciously though. You might consciously decide to spend more time with a certain friend, or you may ask someone out on a date

Rymzo's Advice: STOP CONFUSING UNN ASPIRANTS

In order to help keep aspirantsfrom getting into trouble, Rymzo took to his facebook profile to advise both aspirants and those who are eager to get patronage by exciting the aspirants with fake news.
His update on Thursday, 7th May, 2015 reads: "Recently, I started receiving messages from UNN aspirants asking me if UNN pume form is on sale and where they can get it. The other day, one guy called me asking me what time does he have his own exam, another asked me to help her out, that she has gone to UBA to buy UNN pume scratch card and they said its not there and so on. Some are telling me they heard or saw it online that UNN cuts 180 for her pume, some said they heard 200 and so on.
Personally, I have also seen updates saying about UNN pume dates being fixed or out and I wonder where they always get these

DOS Defies the Orders of the House of Representatives!!!

The Director of Socials, Student Union Government has decided to go ahead with the Obudu Cattle Ranch Get-Away scheduled to hold today, May 7th, 2015 inspite of the orders of the House of Representatives to suspend the event pending further investigations. In a swift response to the suspension, called it a rumour, encouraging all who have indicated interest to still come our for the event.
The House of Representatives had last night (Wednesday, 6th May, 2015) during an emergency meeting told the Director of Socials to suspend the planned event pending further investigations. However, as at the time of filing this report, the bus conveying students to Obudu Cattle Ranch had left the university premises. We are yet to get the reaction of the Speaker, House of Representative or that of any other member of the House on the development but a memo made available to hostels over the night has it that if the Director of Socials goes ahead with the planned event, he risks being suspended.
