2016/2017 UNN-USA ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP

Application for the 2016/17 UNN-USA Alumni Scholarship is now open. The scholarship is merit-based and will cover tuition fee of the selected candidates plus stipends, total of which may not exceed N80,000.00. The scholarship will be awarded to

students who demonstrate character, outstanding academic competence and future promise in their respective fields of study.

ELIGIBILITY

Students must have completed one full academic session at the University of Nigeria with a GPA of 4.0 or higher on a scale of 5.0.

Selected candidates must maintain a minimum GPA of 4.0 during the remaining years of his/her study in order to maintain the scholarship.

An on-campus interview will be conducted for all finalists by the scholarship committee and selected recipients will be notified prior to the beginning of their next academic year.

All eligible students are hereby encouraged to apply except those already on the UNN-USA Scholarship Scheme

Please Note:

You will be required to submit an essay of not more than 500 words on what inspired you to pursue a degree in your field of study and how you intend to use your degree to make a difference in your country and the world at large upon graduation

All UNN-USA Scholarships are merit-based. Therefore, strong consideration is given to applicant who exhibit appropriate writing skills. Applicants are thus urged to pay attention to grammar and arrangement.
