TIMETABLE FOR THE CONDUCT OF THE 2016/17 BY-ELECTION

The University of Nigeria (SUG) Electoral Commission hereby calls on interested candidates for the various positions yet to be filled after the Students' Union Government Elections. Timetable for the conduct of the By-Elections will be as follows:

            

1. Thursday, 2nd March 2017

9a.m. Prompt

Collection and Submission of forms for Vice Presidential and Vacant House of Representatives Positions Starts

2. Monday, 6th March 2017

12noon

Submission of forms ends

3. Wednesday 8th March, 2017

1pm

Screening of Candidates for the Vice Presidential and House of Representatives Positions

4. Thursday 9th March 2017

10am

Publication of list of cleared candidates for the Vice Presidential and House of Representatives Positions

5. Thursday 9th March 2017

10am – 12mid night

Campaign Starts & Ends

6. Friday 10th March, 2017

9a.m. – 12noon

Accreditation followed by Election.

Counting of votes and announcement of Results

7. INAUGURATION TO BE ANNOUNCED LATER 

NOTE:

i.        The Venue for all elections for all faculties will be Mag. Ekpo-Convocation Hall.
