UNN POST-UTME SCREENING UPDATE 2

The 2015/2016 POST-UTME screening will commence on the 11 of August,
2015. There will be two batches namely: Batch 1- Candidates whose
names were originally sent by JAMB (Verified List). Registration ends
on 7 August, 2015. Batch 2 – Candidates who were omitted in the
original list sent from JAMB but selected UNN as first choice and
scored 200 and above. Registration for this batch ends on 12 August,
2015. Batch 1 will take their exams from 11 – 14 August, 2015 as shown

BREAKING NEWS: THE NEWLY APPOINTED CHANCELLOR FOR UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA, NSUKKA IS DEAD.

The Ooni of Ife, Alayeluwa Oba Okunade Sijuwade, who was appointed
Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka by the immediate past
fedral government, is dead. He died yesterday in London at the age of
85.
Although there was no official confirmation from the traditional
ruler's palace yesterday, THISDAY gathered that the news on the death
of the Oba, whose official title was His Imperial Majesty, Oba Okunade
Sijuwade Olubuse II, was communicated to the Osun State Governor, Rauf
Aregbesola yesterday.
Oba Sijuwade was the fifth Ooni of Ife. He climbed the throne on
December 6, 1980. As the Ooni of Ife, he presided over the Ife
territory, in the South West Nigeria but his influence went far and
beyond. He came into office at the height of the supremacy fight
amongst Yoruba Obas. The crisis pitched him against the Alaafin of
Oyo. It festered on until Osun state was carved out of the old Oyo
State.
Before he became an Oba, he studied at Abeokuta Grammar School and
later at Northampton College in the United Kingdom before he became a
manager at Leventis stores.
He was recently appointed Chancellor, University of Nigeria, Nsukka by
the past administration.
He is survived by several wives and children.

Students To buy Text Books.

It has repeatedly been reported to our office that Nigerian Students
are still compelled to buy CEDR, Computer and Physics texts under the
disguise that it is a criteria to get their work books ( CA) and hence
to qualify them for the course registration and eventual qualification
for Examination. This is deceit and extortion in grand style.

You are hence, mandated to

The University Of Nigeria, Nsukka hereby invites candidates who made their first choice in the 2015 University Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored 200 and above for screening. The computer Based Test screening will be conducted at the Nsukka campus of the University as follows

* Visit www.unn.edu.ng and click on UNN PORTAL or visit the portal
directly by clicking on www.unnportal.unn.edu.ng
*When at the portal, scroll down and click on 2015/16 POST UTME APPLICATION
* The next page will open with a number of clickable links. Click on
GENERATE INVOICE, fill the form that will pop up and click SUBMIT. If
your invoice is generated successfully, it indicates you are eligible
to sit for the post UTME. If not, it may either mean you have been
transferred to another university or that your details have not been
uploaded successfully to the university portal.
I will therefore advise you wait patiently till August 5th, 2015.
Information reaching us has it that the said date is when checking of
eligibility may commence, thus every information should be available
on jamb's website by then.
