THE END OF A FOUR-YEAR JOURNEY!!!

Living, learning and surviving in the Den of Lions is not easy. this is why each time a set of students graduate after four, five or six years, it calls for great joy, happiness and celebration. The most popular track of the season is Styl Plus' Four Years Don Waka.
Anyway, I was not able to capture all the moments from different faculties and departments but I ensured I did not let that of the Department of Mass Communication, Faculty of

PEDRO'S PROMISES AND THE EXPECTATIONS OF THE STUDENTS

Based on the fact that government is meant to be a representative of
the people, it is important leaders are found worthy as credible men
whose words are their bonds. Somehow, I stumbled on this ALL-IMPORTANT
document and decided to share it with the permission of His
Excellency, The President of the Student Union Government, University
of Nigeria, Nsukka, Comr. Orji Peter Ekene. It is the inaugural speech
delivered by the president on the day he and other newly-elected
officials of the government were sworn in. Most interesting are the
promises which are what students should hope for and expect of the
current administration.
On my own, I have extracted some points worthy of note and have
outlined them below. It is necessary, however, that you take your time
to go through the whole script yourself to see what to expect of the
current administration, and to know the yardstick with which to
condemn or commend. Below are areas of concentration I was able to
extract:

Eby Wonder (SUG Treasurer) Adds a Year

On the 3rd of August some years back, a rare gem was born. He remains
a gift to his generation and the world at large. His dogged spirit inspired him to seek leadership positions, and currently he runs the Central Bank of the Student Union Government, University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
On a day like this we celebrate honesty, integrity, accountability and a stand for truth and justice.

Hard Times for Emeka Ike as Wife Files for Divorce

These are definitely not good times for actor Emeka Ike as he now
seems to be moving from one court case to the other, the latest of
which is the divorce mess his wife has dragged him into.
When the news broke that his wife of over twelve years, Emma Ike, had
filed a divorce suit against the actor on allegation of domestic
violence, the actor was quick to squash it as mere rumour and insisted
that his marriage is intact, claiming he had not received any divorce
notice.
"As I'm talking to you now, I have not received any divorce notice.
Nothing like that happened. I have not received any letter from
anybody. I am a Christian, we don't divorce" he told Vanguard
correspondent who sought his opinion on the matter.
Barely a week after his claim, the case came before a Lagos Island
customary court where his wife's petition for dissolution of their
marriage was heard. Though Emeka was not in court

Agbo Nnamdi Junior (Jagaban) a.k.a Gburugburu 1 of FASA, the outgoing Director of Socials who was interviewed recently at Julcony Hotels and Suites where contestants in the Mr. and Miss. FASA lodged, expressed his delight at the success of his tenure as the Director of Si\ocials, Faculty of Arts Students Association. FASA Nite was one of the events to mark the Faculty Week, and also served as a send forth event for finalists, an award night, presentation of Trophy for the Combined Arts Students Association football team who won the Dean's Cup this year, and many more event.
A little deviation from the event saw Nnamdi reiterating his resolution to maintain his stand as regards the last Student Union Government elections where he fully supported the current SUG President, Comr. Orji, Peter Ekenedilichukwu.

FOBSSA DECIDES, 2015

Students of the Faculty of Biological Sciences gathered at the Faculty Lecture Theatre today, Saturday, August 1st, 2015 to decide those who takes up the administration of the Faculty of Biological Sciences Students Association. The manifesto and the accreditation started at about 11:30am and both ran simultaneously until about 2:00pm when the election started.
Agents of different contestants also served as observers as they were all made to sit directly opposite the ballot boxes to watch and ensure that no foul play was employed in the election by anyone. The voting was  smooth and peaceful as men of the University Security Department, Academic and Non-Academic Staff of the Faculty, representatives of the Student Affairs Department and Current Executives of the faculty were in place to coordinate and observe things. Worthy of note is the fact that the Dean of the Faculty coordinated the whole process of giving out ballot papers to students.
Some issues arose, however, when
