UNN STUDENT IDENTITY CARDS READY FOR COLLECTION

This is to inform all students who have gone through the data capturing process for the proposed University of Nigeria student identity card that the cards are ready for collection.

The cards which will also serve as an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) card is a multipurpose one. It serves the purpose of identification as well as transactions like payment through online channels, POS, etc.; card funding; inter-bank transfer; withdrawals; etc. is produced in collaboration with Access Bank Plc.

Students who are still on campus are advised to visit the ICT Centre in the Vice Chancellor's Office to pick up theirs while those who are not on campus are advised to remain calm as the cards will be sent to the different faculties for easy distribution on the return of students for next session.

Instruction on the use of the card for the different purposes are well spelt out in the accompanying document but most importantly, the card MUST first be activated at any Access Bank ATM before it can be used.

Those who are yet to have their data captured may still do so through the ICT at Computer Centre as soon as possible.

Haven gone through the said interview, below is my take on it.
It is important to note that development is a continuous process. SUG in UNN was banned for years, and so it will be wise for any person to see its return as a rebirth, and expect the attendant challenges of growth in every society to also assail the Union. Of a truth,

FORCEFUL EVICTION OF STUDENTS FROM HOSTELS AVERTED

Thanks to the intervention of the Student Union Government, the proposed sudden eviction of the students from the hostels was stopped. Consequently, students were given till Friday, August 21st to vacate school hostels with the exemption of students from certain faculties and departments for comprehensible reasons.
During an interview with the Vice President of the Union, Comr. Nebo, Joy, we learned that

SUG Celebrates with Graduating Members of the Association of Students with Special Needs

The most memorable events are not always the loudest. For me, the most memorable event so far in the current administration of the Student Union Government took place today, Sunday, August 9th, 2015 as the SUG President, Comr. Orji Peter Ekene and his Vice, Comr. Nebo Joy celebrate with the Association of Students with Special Needs who also produced their own batch of Super Lions and Lionesses. The event which started at about 1:00pm held at Eni-Njoku Lounge, and witnessed members of the association from different hostels coming together to celebrate with their peers. Below are the list of graduants from the association:

THE END OF A FOUR-YEAR JOURNEY!!!

Living, learning and surviving in the Den of Lions is not easy. this is why each time a set of students graduate after four, five or six years, it calls for great joy, happiness and celebration. The most popular track of the season is Styl Plus' Four Years Don Waka.
Anyway, I was not able to capture all the moments from different faculties and departments but I ensured I did not let that of the Department of Mass Communication, Faculty of
