SUG Celebrates with Graduating Members of the Association of Students with Special Needs

The most memorable events are not always the loudest. For me, the most memorable event so far in the current administration of the Student Union Government took place today, Sunday, August 9th, 2015 as the SUG President, Comr. Orji Peter Ekene and his Vice, Comr. Nebo Joy celebrate with the Association of Students with Special Needs who also produced their own batch of Super Lions and Lionesses. The event which started at about 1:00pm held at Eni-Njoku Lounge, and witnessed members of the association from different hostels coming together to celebrate with their peers. Below are the list of graduants from the association:

* Adeshola Esther - Mass Comm.
* Ihuoma Phillip - PALG
* Nwabunwanne Romanus - Soc./Anth.
* Akumas Uche - Social Work
* Okereke Ugochinyere - Arts Education
* Madubuobi Helen - Political Science
* Ihenetu Prisca - PALG
* Onah David - Political Science
* Olashaye Timilehin - Political Science
* Ehefu Sampson - Social Work
* Ifedi Chijioke - Biochemistry
* Eze Gideon - Mass Comm
* Umezinwa Maryjane - Mass Comm
* Chukwu Harrison - Soc./Anth.

Higlights of the events include introduction of dignitaries to the table. Men of honour like the president and the vice president of SUG, UNN and the President of the Association, Mr. Ewa Emmanuel and members of his executive. Truly, they could not hold back their  joy as they sang various songs of praise to God for leading them through the rough path to their graduation.

Recounting their experinces in the Den, one of them said his greatest challenge was having to meet up with early morning lectures. Another important issue that needs attention as regards these students is the change in shuttle routes which is adversely affecting them as most of them have to walk all the way from Franco to faculties like Arts and the Social Sciences.
