Information reaching us fron the Office of the Director of Transport has it that there is a review in the transport fair for UNN Shuttles within and outside the campus.
The new prices were agreed upon during a meeting between representatives of UNN Shuttle Operators and the Director of Transport. To this effect, a circular has been distributed to appropriate quarters as these new rates take effect immediately.
Below is the content of the circular:
"Owing especially to fluctuation in the price of petroleum products and other critical issues within and outside the campus, below is the new rate for UNN Shuttle within and outside the campus:
* Nsukka Park to the University-
Buses - N40.00
Taxis - N50.00
* Within the Campus:
Buses - N20.00
Taxis - N30.00
Exceptions to the above stated rates include:
* Second Gate directly to Faculty of Agricultural Sciences/Awolowo Hall (N30.00)
*Taxis from Second Gate to ICT (N40.00).
THIS AGREEMENT IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AS SOON AS THE NEED ARISES OWING TO THE CIRCUMSTANCES THAT LET TO IT AT FIRST."
Thus, students are advised to comply with the above agreement as Shuttle Operators have also promised to do same. Also, for any complaints concerning the rates and any other issue concerning the tansportation or the activities of UNN Shuttle Operators, please contact the following persons:
